Testimonials

The Ireland tour included the highlights of the country plus some that were new to me but fascinating (Newgrange).  I especially enjoyed the Riverdance performance in Dublin and the trip to the Aran Islands.  But Killarney was so beautiful as well.  The individual guides that we had were great, especially Donal in Dublin, so informative and entertaining.  The ladies that did our tours at Newgrange were outstanding.  Our bus driver, Sean, was very dedicated to taking care of us! Thank you for organizing a great tour that was relaxing and fun with a great group of ladies. - Barbara from Alberta, Canada

My trip to Ireland was very special. Beautiful hotels, delicious food, incredible sights and of course a great group of women! The Aran Islands were gorgeous, and the Dingle Pennisula was wild. I just can’t say enough good things about this tour! Looking forward to my next tour! – Fran from New York

It was a wonderful tour. The hotels were really nice. I especially love the manor house in Killarney – everyone should have their own castle! I liked the variety of activities. The food was excellent. It was a great group of women. A really fine tour! – Amy from Massachusetts

Loved the tour. Activities, accommodations, and restaurants were excellent! - Joyce from Minnesota

So many things were outstanding. Ireland overall exceeded my expectations. Such a well-rounded tour. - Katherine from California

The tour was fabulous. Ireland is magnificent, we explored beautiful castles , witnessed amazing landscapes, ate first class food, and gained so much fascinating knowledge of the Gaelic culture and traditions – together in a group that felt like family! Teresa definitely enhanced the tour with her conscientious attitude in aiming to please everyone and listening to everyone’s concerns – she has a wonderful demeanor. The hotels were extraordinary – especially Gregan’s Castle and Hotel Europe. I feel very fortunate to have discovered Sights and Soul. As my husband no longer wants to travel abroad, I have found a way to see the world, in the company of likeminded women and a fabulous tour leader with a superior tour company. - Amy from New York

Sights and Soul was a perfect tour group for me. Enjoyed my tour from beginning to end – would give them 5 stars on all levels. A small group with lovely ladies, highlights the high interest sites, food is high quality choices, hotels were wonderful and had a different experience in each of them. - Fran from California

I felt there were lots of great experiences, nice hotels and great restaurants. - Patricia from Tennessee

Steeped in the midst of history and woven into a rich tapestry of arts, music and literature, Ireland offers both magnificent landscapes and a fascinating cultural heritage. During the Dublin and the Emerald Isle journey, we'll travel through pastoral Irish scenery, lit by shimmering shafts of sunlight and frequent rainbows. We'll visit the dramatic Cliffs of Moher and the rock-encrusted Burren. We'll tour the windswept Aran Islands off the west coast of Ireland, marvel at the hauntingly beautiful Connemara with its castles, prehistoric monuments and lovingly restored manor houses. We'll wonder at the translucent lakes of Killarney, the ever-changing light on spectacular seascapes around the Dingle Peninsula, and the mysterious remains of ancient forts and monasteries. We'll experience the mellow charms of medieval towns and villages lost in time, the wild, rugged scenery of the Wicklow Mountains, the improbable colors of Irish gardens and the prehistoric mysteries of Newgrange and Knowth. Yet this intimate exploration of the Emerald Isle will let us go beyond the landscapes, as we meet the Irish people and experience the culture of Ireland first hand, and follow in the footsteps of Irish writers, stroll on the lively streets of Dublin, enjoy a chat over a glass of Guinness and join in an evening singsong in a local pub. We'll enjoy fine dining, opulent castles, luxury boutique hotels and Celtic culture as we connect with new, like-minded friends and create lifelong memories.

  • We'll stay in an upscale modern hotel in the center of Dublin, a luxury spa resort in Killarney and an elegant elegant waterfront hotel in Galway
  • We'll discover Dublin's highlights with a historian guide, including the Trinity College with its Book of Kells, and the lively Temple Bar area
  • We'll take in a performance of breath-taking Irish dance and an evening of Irish tales and music
  • We'll tour the spectacular Cliffs of Moher, the Aran Islands and the atmospheric Connemara
  • We'll admire the prehistoric Celtic monuments in the Burren
  • We'll stroll among the fifty shades of green in the Dingle Peninsula, stopping in Gaelic speaking market towns and villages frozen in time
  • We'll experience Newgrange and Knowth, one of the most impressive prehistoric monuments in Europe
  • We'll discover the "Garden of Ireland" at the Powerscourt Manor
  • We'll tour Glendalough, a monastic settlement founded by St. Kevin in the sixth century
  • We'll see the Rock of Cashel, Ireland's most historic and evocative sight
  • We'll dine at fine restaurants, allowing for the fullest appreciation of Irish cuisine, and we'll take in the friendly atmosphere of a traditional Irish pub
