Italy: Eternal Rome - Accommodations

In Rome, we'll be staying at the centrally located, boutique San Carlo Hotel. Five minutes' walk from the Spanish Steps, the hotel is in the historic heart of Rome, in a meticulously renovated 17th century mansion on a quiet side street adjacent to the Via Condotti and its world renowned luxury shops and boutiques. It's within easy walking distance from many historic attractions such as the Trevi Fountain, Piazza del Popolo and Piazza Navona, the Pantheon, and Villa Borghese. This exclusive area also hosts a variety of restaurants and theatres. The hotel offers a 24 hour reception area with English speaking staff at your service to make restaurant reservations, reserve theatre tickets or museum tours; a cozy lounge where you can relax and meet with other guests; a quiet roof garden where a complete continental breakfast is served daily and where the hotel's staff prepares a selection of Italian coffees, cappuccino or tea of your choice. The roof garden offers some of the best views over the domes of Rome's historical heart.

In the highly unlikely event that our original accommodations must be changed, the alternative accommodations will be a hotel of equal or higher standard. No change will made to the cost of the tour.

Why travel with other women?
Many women do not have families or compatible friends who wish to travel. When going on a main-stream tour, women often find that most activities are geared towards couples and quite often they feel left out. Singles' tours are not always what women are looking for. If you do not have a traveling companion, there is also the issue of the expensive "single supplement", sometimes as much as 50 or even 100 percent of the tour cost. By going on women-only tours, women can easily avoid paying for the single supplement by sharing a room with another woman traveler.
