We'll start the tour in Reykjavik, where we'll be staying for 5 nights at the upscale Reykjavik Hotel Centrum, located in the heart of the city on one of its oldest streets. The hotel spreads over three buildings, and is designed in the style found in Reykjavík around 1900. All 89 rooms are fitted with modern amenities, such as satellite TV, telephone, WiFi Internet, mini-bar, iron and board, hair dryer, safe and tea & coffee making facilities. All rooms have a private bathroom with either a shower or a bath tub. The hotel offers first-class services, including room service and porter service, as well as excellent facilities for business guests. Reykjavik Centrum's award-winning restaurant Fjalaköttur serves traditional Icelandic dishes, complemented by an extensive wine list. Uppsalir, the hotel's cozy bar & cafe welcomes guests to relax in a cozy atmosphere.
In Akureyri, we'll be staying for 3 nights at the modern Hotel Kea, located in the heart of Akureyri on the main pedestrian street and just a short walk from the main attractions such as Akureyri's Botanical Gardens and Akureyri Church as well as banks, shops, restaurants, parks and recreational facilities. The hotel offers two bars, 24-hour room service, and a restaurant specializing in hearty local dishes made from fresh seasonal produce as well as one of the greatest selections of wines, spirits and cocktails in the north of Iceland. The guests can enjoy the same-day dry cleaning services, sunny public areas, meeting rooms, and a nearby spa and gym. All 104 bright, airy rooms feature modern Scandinavian furnishings and luxury amenities: tea and coffee-making facilities, telephone, radio, satellite television, writing desk, wooden floors, and a private bathroom with a hairdryer and upscale toiletries.
In the highly unlikely event that our original accommodations must be changed, the alternative accommodations will be a hotel of equal or higher standard. No change will made to the cost of the tour.
