Testimonials

I am just back from the Croatia trip and wanted to let you know how fabulous it was! We saw very interesting sights, had fun, enjoyed learning about the area, had boat rides, ate well, and met wonderful people.  The weather was also perfect. - Anne from North Carolina

Wonderful tour and beautiful scenery. Loved the opportunity to explore the Islands and to swim. – Charlotte from Nova Scotia

Dubrovnik is a fabulous city, the hotel was excellent, the activities were well balanced and enjoyable, everything came together beautifully. I enjoyed the tour and would certainly seriously consider travelling with Sights and Soul again. – Claudia from Ontario

I really enjoyed Dubrovnik, it is such a beautiful place. The time on the water was lovely – just very relaxed. I have recommended Sights and Soul to many people. The quality cannot be beat! The tour was very interesting, particularly the history of the region. It was a good mix of active and relaxation. – Linda from Nova Scotia

From my previous Sights and Soul tours, I had high expectations for the Croatia tour. This tour more than met all of my expectations. I learned so much about the former Yugoslavia and present-day Croatia and Bosnia, and even learned a little about the Roman and Ottoman Empires. Croatia was so beautiful, with the mountains and the coast. Wonderful seafood, excellent wine, great company. Again, it was a great tour. Thanks for all the work you did to make everything go well. – Susan from New York

Fabulous tour! – Pamela from California

Researched “women-only” travel and 8-10 companies came up. Was most impressed with Sights and Soul Travels itineraries, small group size, and few hotels. Web pages very complete and professional. This tour was beyond my expectations, especially Dubrovnik, which – although touristy – is amazing! I liked the small number of women, all interesting and savvy travelers, and staying in just 2-3 hotels. – Ellen from North Carolina

The trip to Croatia exceeded my expectations and I enjoyed myself immensely. The wine was superb and each restaurant selected was the crème de la crème! The local tour guides were very knowledgeable and it was evidenced that they enjoyed what they were doing. Renata expended a lot of effort to make sure that the tour was a memorable one. – Bettye from Maryland

This tour was very well planned with diverse sights, wonderful accommodations and excellent restaurants. Top notch all the way! – Virginia from New York

I thought the trip was extremely well planned. I loved the accommodations and the opportunity of meeting new friends. I liked the small group too. I liked the idea of all trips and all costs being completely covered. – Karen from Pennsylvania

It was all a magnificent trip, and a beautiful country. Renata’s background and firsthand experience with the area and the wars that have plagued the country truly added to the richness of the experience. Absolutely the most beautiful country I’ve visited thus far! Really had a good time. Enjoyed everything about the trip. Thanks a bunch! - Patricia from Alberta

I’ve been on many tours, and this one was one of the absolute best – small size, beautiful hotels, great food, attention to detail, traveling with women – top notch! - Marcia from Tennessee

Fabulous time. I recommend this tour company to others whether you go alone or with friends. Perfect way to see a country and make new friends. Great location of tour hotels. And Renata was a perfect mix between Mary Poppins and Julie McCoy: always prepared, with a smile on her face. - Meg from Oregon

This was an amazing trip – fun and educational. I appreciate all the care and time that went into planning every detail of this wonderful trip. Renata was the best. The trip was so much more meaningful because of her willingness to share her experiences &her knowledge of the history /area. - Rose from Oregon

Wonderful experience, great companions on the tour. Restaurants and hotels were very good. I really enjoyed Croatia, and would love to return someday. This is my second tour with Sights and Soul, and I thoroughly enjoyed both tours. - Susan from Florida

Croatia is a beautiful country with excellent food + wine. This tour provides a mix of history + culture but the highlight for me was the two days visiting the islands near Split and Dubrovnik. The water + sun are a beautiful combination. Add in a group of adventurous ladies + Renata, a great tour guide – it was a perfect vacation! - Beverley from Alberta

Thank you so much for making my trip to Croatia such a wonderfully unforgettable and fun experience. Not only did you share the beauty and culture of the country with us, you shared its soul...and left me with some very special memories for a lifetime. How lucky we all were to have had you with us... - Sheila from Montana

Croatia was so much fun! I got to see and experience so much culture and history, and I still felt like I was on vacation. The sea was incredible. I liked all the women in our group, and now that we have this connection, I hope that we will remain friends. Thank you for making this trip possible for me. - Andrea from Maine

Traveling with Sights and Soul was like being with a group of good friends, where one of them was very knowledgeable and took good care of you. - Alice from Wisconsin

The Dalmatian Coast is defined by the sapphire waters of the Adriatic Sea, and Croatia is where over the centuries the richest Mediterranean cultures have intersected and influenced each other. During the Dubrovnik and the Dalmatian Coast tour, we will discover the Old World city of Zagreb, explore Roman remains in the white marble cities of Split and Trogir, Greek temples strewn among the hills, the Byzantine mosaics in shadowy, candle-lit churches and ornately carved Venetian palaces in Dubrovnik. We'll discover the quintessential Mediterranean landscapes of spellbinding red-roofed towns spilling to the sea, idyllic beaches and secret coves surrounded by the Earth's bluest sea and timeless islands rising out of the horizon. We'll get a chance to appreciate the Dalmatian spirit which fills the air with the scent of lavender and cedar, with warmth and an unhurried pace. We'll sample great seafood and amazing wines, sail on an antique galleon boat, try freshly caught oysters and local champagne, and enjoy the spectacular show of nature among the impossible waterscape of blue-green lakes and waterfalls in Plitvice Lakes National Park.

  • We will spend the first 2 nights in an opulent Orient Express hotel in Zagreb, we'll tour Zagreb's Old Town and explore the Plitvice Lakes National Park;
  • While in Split, we will stay for 3 nights at a luxurious seaside resort, take a private, in-depth tour of the Emperor Diocletian's Palace, the medieval Old Towns of Split and Trogir and sail to explore the beautiful Island of Hvar;
  • While in Dubrovnik, we will stay for 4 nights at an upscale Mediterranean hotel, from where we'll explore the ancient city of Dubrovnik, take a private boat cruise on the Adriatic Sea to the Elaphite Archipelago islands, tour the ancient, walled village of Ston, famous for oyster fields over which battles have been fought since the Roman times, and learn about oyster cultivation and proper wine and oyster pairing, and tour the Dalmatian countryside, with its vineyards, oyster bays and lively folk traditions.
  • We'll spend a day in the country of Bosnia and Herzegovina, visiting Mostar with its famous bridge, considered the very point where East and West meet.
  • Throughout the tour, we will dine in carefully selected gourmet restaurants and sample many delicious Dalmatian wines and exceptional seafood.
