Impressions of Vietnam - Accommodations

In Hanoi, we'll be staying for 2 nights at the Hotel de l'Opera. The hotel has a perfect location, right near the Hanoi Old Quarter, the Lake of the Restored Sword, Ngoc Son pagoda and the Turtle Tower. Inspired by 19th century France, this stylish, 5-star luxury hotel features a restaurant, a bar, an indoor pool and fitness facilities. Elegant rooms are fitted with European-style designer furnishings and feature modern amenities including a flat-screen TV, free WiFi Internet, a mini bar, a safety deposit box, and a direct-dial telephone. Luxurious bathrooms offer separate bath and shower areas, bathrobes, slippers and luxurious toiletries. Housekeeping is offered daily and guests may request a turndown service.

In Ha Long Bay, we'll be spending 2 nights onboard the Paradise Luxury junk, while cruising among the dramatic landscapes of the Descending Dragon (Ha Long) Bay. Designed in the style of a traditional Vietnamese junk, highlighting subtle harmony with the natural environment, this luxury vessel features an elegant on-board restaurant and bar, a large sun terrace, outdoor dining space, and a spa. Each morning, Tai Chi lessons are offered on the upper deck, and movies are shown in the evening. Each of the 17 air-conditioned Paradise Luxury cabins feature classic dark wood furnishings and sweeping sea views. The bathrooms have a modern design, elegant toiletries and hair dryers. The full service restaurant offers a wide selection of wines and both Asian and international dining. Upgrades to balcony rooms are available.

In Hue, we'll be staying for 2 nights at Pilgrimage Village Boutique Resort & Spa, a lush resort in a tranquil area of Thua Thien Hue, surrounded by soothing gardens, several pools, and tropical vegetation, yet close to Hue's historical landmarks. This property offers authentic Vietnamese culture and hospitality, extensive Vedana spa treatments, and several onsite bars and restaurants. The beautifully furnished, spacious bungalows are tastefully furnished with modern amenities and feature cathedral ceilings, open marble bathrooms, a thatched roof design, spacious terraces and exotic wood floors. All accommodations have individually controlled AC, satellite TV with 25 channels, individual safe deposit boxes, mini bar, writing desk, hair dryer, in-room coffee, tea set & electric kettle, slippers, bathtub, bathrobes, daily flowers and fruit, 24-hour room service, turn-down service and free WiFi.

In Hoi An, we'll be staying for 2 nights at the Anantara Resort. Nestled on the bank of the scenic Thu Bon River, in the quaint port town of Hoi An, the Anantara Resort has been awarded the Best Heritage Resort in Vietnam. The resort's facilities include a restaurant, cafe, bar, a tranquil swimming pool, lush gardens, boat tours on the Thu Bon River, and bike rentals; Tai Chi classes and spa services are also available. The luxurious two-level rooms feature separate living and sleeping areas, and come equipped with a work desk and high speed Internet, in-room safety deposit boxes, refrigerators and mini bars, coffee and tea making facilities, satellite TV with international channels, individually controlled AC, ceiling fans, hairdryers, bathrobes and slippers.

In Saigon, we'll stay for 3 nights at Hotel Majestic Saigon. Since 1925, this elegant, historical hotel has occupied one of the finest locations in Saigon, enjoying the stunning views of the Saigon River. The old boutique charm of the hotel and the elegance of the classical French colonial design personify the Golden Age of architecture. The hotel offers an outdoor pool, a health club, a spa, a sauna, 3 restaurants, a café and a bar. The 175 spacious rooms open to balconies, and feature wireless Internet, televisions with premium channels, refrigerators, minibars, complimentary bottled water, and tea and coffee making facilities. Bathrooms feature bathtubs, slippers, hair dryers and high quality, luxurious toiletries.

In the highly unlikely event that our original accommodations must be changed, the alternative accommodations will be a hotel of equal or higher standard. No change will made to the cost of the tour.

Why travel with other women?
Many women do not have families or compatible friends who wish to travel. When going on a main-stream tour, women often find that most activities are geared towards couples and quite often they feel left out. Singles' tours are not always what women are looking for. If you do not have a traveling companion, there is also the issue of the expensive "single supplement", sometimes as much as 50 or even 100 percent of the tour cost. By going on women-only tours, women can easily avoid paying for the single supplement by sharing a room with another woman traveler.
