Laos: Luang Prabang - Accommodations
LUANG PRABANG

In Luang Prabang in Laos, we'll be staying for 3 nights at the Victoria Xiengthong Palace Hotel. Sitting next to the famous Wat Xiengthong Temple in Luang Prabang, this luxury hotel, located in a building that used to be a royal residence enjoys the prime Luang Prabang location in a quiet section of the Old City, as well as the beautiful views of the Mekong River. The hotel features a private garden, a terrace, a bar and a lounge and the pampering Ayu Spa with relaxing massages and steam baths. The Kitchen by the Mekong Restaurant serves excellent wine and international dishes, and outdoor garden dining is available. The 26 air-conditioned rooms are spacious and elegant, and according to the Laotian royal tradition, feature restrained decor along with textured walls and flat-screen TVs, an iPhone dock, minibar and free bottled water. En suite bathrooms have a bathtub and separate shower. The free WiFi and wired Internet access is available throughout the hotel.

In the highly unlikely event that our original accommodations must be changed, the alternative accommodations will be a hotel of equal or higher standard. No change will made to the cost of the tour.

Why travel with other women?
Many women do not have families or compatible friends who wish to travel. When going on a main-stream tour, women often find that most activities are geared towards couples and quite often they feel left out. Singles' tours are not always what women are looking for. If you do not have a traveling companion, there is also the issue of the expensive "single supplement", sometimes as much as 50 or even 100 percent of the tour cost. By going on women-only tours, women can easily avoid paying for the single supplement by sharing a room with another woman traveler.
