Egypt: Pyramids and the Nile 3 - Accommodations
CAIRO

We'll spend the first 3 nights in Cairo at the five-star Le Méridien Pyramids Hotel. Le Méridien Pyramids Hotel & Spa is beautifully set in its own landscaped gardens in a time-honored location, overlooking the Sphinx and the Giza Pyramids, one of the seven Ancient Wonders of the World and only twenty minutes from Cairo's city center. The hotel features 633 rooms and suites. With optimum taste and comfort in mind, the state of the art rooms and suites are generously sized, offering the latest in-room facilities and services. The hotel's services and facilities include two large, free-form heated swimming pools, a spa with fully equipped health and fitness center, sauna, steam jacuzzi and more. The bright rooms feature floor-to-ceiling windows, many with the view of the pyramids, satellite TV, and minibars with cool drinks. The marble vanity, stylishly appointed bathrooms feature make-up mirrors, bathrobes and upscale toiletries.

LUXOR

We'll spend 2 nights in Luxor, at the five-star Sonesta St. George Hotel on the banks of the Nile. Located only minutes from world-renowned historic sites including the Valleys of the Kings and Queens, Luxor Temple, Luxor Museum, and the Karnak Temple with the Sound and Light Show, the hotel is an ideal setting from which to explore the area. After touring, guests relax in the hotel's Key of Life Health Club, dine in one of its restaurants, soak in the pool, or enjoy a refreshing beverage as they overlook the Nile. Classical elegance and contemporary decor are reflected throughout the 322 guest rooms and suites, combining eternal style with generous comfort. Richly decorated marble bathrooms and soft fabrics create a relaxing atmosphere, complemented by panoramic views of the Nile River. All rooms feature flat screen televisions, luxurious linens and individual climate control, as well as WiFi Internet, hair dryers, mini-bars, direct-dial telephones, and digital safes.

THE NILE CRUISE

We'll spend 4 nights on the deluxe Mövenpick MS Royal Lily Nile Cruise. The ship’s 56 classy cabins blend modern elegance and uncompromising luxury for a truly sophisticated accommodation. All cabins are equipped with a queen size bed or two full size beds, individually controlled air conditioning, LCD Television with in house movie and satellite channels, sleeping and living area with separate dressing area, large closets with plenty of drawer space, mini bar, telephone, programmable safe box, large bathroom with jet showers, bathrobes, slippers and hair dryers. The elegant restaurant features a fusion of contemporary and authentic local dishes prepared by internationally trained chefs, and the Panoramic lounge bar is a sophisticated spot to relax and indulge in a glass of sparkling wine, as the day slips into night and captivating sunsets paint the sky. The ship’s own spa offers a beauty salon, steam and sauna rooms, and a variety of massage treatments. The refreshing pool and sun deck bar on the upper deck, a gift shop, hairdresser and laundry facilities complement the overall ambiance of a relaxing river cruise.

CAIRO

After returning to Cairo, we'll be staying for 1 night at the Le Méridien Cairo Airport Hotel. Sophisticated, imaginative and conveniently connected to Cairo International Airport's Terminal 3 by a pedestrian bridge, the hotel is a refined haven of comfort, where guests can rest, recharge and indulge. The hotel's restaurants range from Lebanese and Singaporean to a high-energy sports bar. There is also a heated outdoor pool and a fitness center. Each of the 349 chic, soundproof rooms features a sitting area, free, high speed WiFi access and Le Méridien Signature Bed. The deluxe rooms are curated to inspire with warm, classical tones and are tastefully decorated with a modern touch offering a range of amenities.

In the highly unlikely event that our original accommodations must be changed, the alternative accommodations will be a hotel of equal or higher standard. No change will be made to the cost of the tour.

Why travel with other women?
Many women do not have families or compatible friends who wish to travel. When going on a main-stream tour, women often find that most activities are geared towards couples and quite often they feel left out. Singles' tours are not always what women are looking for. If you do not have a traveling companion, there is also the issue of the expensive "single supplement", sometimes as much as 50 or even 100 percent of the tour cost. By going on women-only tours, women can easily avoid paying for the single supplement by sharing a room with another woman traveler.
